Astragalus Root
Astragalus Root is commonly referred to as astragalus membranaceous. Part of the pea family, atragalus root has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. Astragalus is classified as a non-toxic safe substance with no known side effects.
It's most common use is as an immune booster in the human body to help it fight against viral attacks.
Astragalus extract is derived from the root of the Astragalus plant. The plant is a perennial about 16-36 inches tall, and is found in China, Mongolia and Korea. It can be consumed by making tea out of boiling the root. Extract can also be purchased in supplement form by many vitamin retailers.
